Let's Meet
I’m Eva, Founder of At Home with Eva
Welcome to At Home with Eva.
I created this service with a simple but deeply important belief — that people deserve to remain independent, comfortable and in control of their own lives for as long as possible, whilst receiving support that genuinely adapts around them.
My role goes far beyond simply helping with practical tasks — I focus on understanding what helps people continue living well, comfortably and independently as their needs gradually change over time.
Over the years, I have learned that good support is not just about completing jobs around the home. It is about recognising the small things that quietly affect daily life, understanding what truly matters to each individual, identifying ways everyday life can be made easier, and providing thoughtful support that naturally evolves as circumstances change over time.
Sometimes that means practical help around the home. Sometimes it means companionship and conversation.
Sometimes it means accompanying somebody to appointments, helping them understand important information, organising daily life more smoothly, identifying concerns early, finding practical solutions, or simply noticing the little things others may overlook.
I have worked across many roles within the care sector, including experience as a Registered Manager, supporting people living with dementia, disabilities and a wide range of individual needs.
What I learned through those years is that independence matters deeply.
People want to remain in the comfort of their own homes, continue living life in a way that feels familiar, and feel respected whilst doing so.
This is the philosophy behind everything I do.
I provide thoughtful, flexible support that adapts around the individual — always focused on preserving independence, improving day-to-day quality of life, and supporting people in ways that genuinely work for them.
As a sole trader, I offer consistency, continuity and genuine personal connection. The same friendly face always arrives at the door, allowing trust and meaningful relationships to develop naturally over time.
I am fully insured, hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate through the DBS Update Service, and pride myself on providing reliable, professional support that families can feel confident in.
Based in Darwen, I support local individuals and families who value thoughtful, personalised help that makes everyday life feel easier, calmer and more manageable.
Because often…
it is not just about the task.
How I support Independent Living
Every person’s needs are different, which is why support is always tailored around the individual rather than following a fixed checklist.
My role is to provide thoughtful, practical support that helps everyday life feel easier, calmer and more manageable whilst protecting independence and dignity.
And often…
support naturally evolves over time as I notice small things that could make daily life easier.
Because sometimes the most valuable support is simply noticing what others overlook.

Why Choose At Home with Eva
✔ Thoughtful support that goes beyond the task
My role is not simply to complete tasks, but to notice the small things that quietly affect everyday life and help make daily living easier, calmer and more manageable.
✔ Support that evolves around you
Every person is different. I naturally adapt my support around each individual’s lifestyle, routines, preferences and changing needs over time.
✔ Promoting independence, not taking it away
I believe deeply in helping people remain in control of their own lives by offering the right support whilst protecting dignity, confidence and independence at every stage.
✔ A consistent, trusted relationship
As an independent provider, you will always see the same familiar face. Trust develops naturally when support is personal, reliable and built around genuine human connection.
✔ Experience, intuition and practical problem solving
With years of experience across care and management roles, I bring more than practical help. I notice details, identify challenges early and quietly solve the little problems that can make everyday life harder.
✔ Peace of mind for families
Whether supporting an individual directly or helping families stay informed, I provide honest communication, thoughtful observations and reassurance that someone trustworthy is paying attention.

Testimonials
“Miss Eva is a really professional, dedicated and trustworthy pet sitter. During our ten days away from the UK, she took very good care of our two cats. Not just the feeding of food and litter cleaning, Eva spent time keeping our cats happy by playing with them. All in all, we want to express our very sincere thanks for her help.”
Calvin C, Blackburn
“Eva is always very helpful, efficient and respects both our home and our possessions. She takes the greatest care in carrying out tasks. Having Eva in our home has taken a lot of burden off our shoulders by helping with transport, shopping, cleaning and some personal care in the home i.e. making tea/coffee. I would recommend Eva to others, she is worth every penny.”
